Pixnex

Compress · Convert · Resize

Make your images smaller. Keep your workflow faster.

Compress, convert, and resize images with Pixnex. Supported images are processed directly in your browser, and optimized files are ready to download in moments.

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP · up to 20 MB each · 20 files max

Images are processed on your device in this browser tab. They are not uploaded to Pixnex servers.

How Pixnex works

  1. 1

    Add images

Drag files onto the page or browse. Pixnex checks each file's real contents, not just its name.

  2. 2

    Choose settings

Pick an output format, a quality level and an optional new size. Sensible defaults are pre-filled.

  3. 3

    Download

Preview before and after, see the exact size difference, and download files one by one or as a ZIP.

Honest before-and-after

After processing, open Compare on any image to drag a slider between the original and the result. Sizes, dimensions and the exact percentage change are shown for every file — including when a file gets larger.

Processed on your device

The tools use your browser's built-in image decoders and encoders in a background worker. Your images aren't sent to Pixnex, which also keeps the service fast and inexpensive to run.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

Not for the tools on this site. Images are decoded, processed and re-encoded inside your browser tab. If we ever add a feature that needs server processing, it will be clearly labelled.

Is Pixnex free?

Yes. The free plan covers compression, conversion, resizing and batches of up to 20 images, with no account required.

Why is my output file bigger than the original?

Some images are already highly optimized. Re-encoding at high quality or converting to a lossless format can increase size. Pixnex always shows the real result so you can choose a different setting or keep the original.

Which browsers are supported?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Creating AVIF files depends on your browser having an AVIF encoder; if it doesn't, the option is disabled.
